Oak Vaults has been an institution on Hull’s pub scene for many years with some stars starting their careers here. It has been given a new lease of life and is a lively addition to Hull’s music scene.
The pub has had a major rebuild with facilities and new layout. The decor is traditional and suiting this intimate and friendly venue. A new stage has been installed, complete with new lighting and PA systems including karaoke. This allows us to host any manner of music and performance genre. The aim, to bring live acts to a little back street pub in Hull, the 2017 UK City of Culture and beyond!
Located on Scott St the home of Hull’s Banksy graffiti 2018. the OV can be a quiet cosy pub for those chilling after work. Later we strive for a party with a lively atmosphere and nightly karaoke both before and after the acts until late .The acts can be from drag ,to local bands of different musical genres. We like to welcome and encourage open Mic and are always open to new ideas .We have welcomed comedy nights and poetry nights ,plus international performers .
We have live stage acts from local talents such as Phil May, Toria Marie, Neon Lights and Gary Marsden, to local legends like Bobby Mandrell, as well as broads from further afield like The Dreamgirls from Castleford. the list goes on .
Oak Vaults is a LGBTQ friendly pub, meaning absolutely anyone is welcome as long as your attitude is the same. We have a zero tolerance policy on any prejudice behaviour.
